Rick Stilwell from Columbia, SC, has been reading Brian’s new book Everything Must Change, and he’s written some great reflections on it today over on his blog. Rick writes, “I can’t escape the reality that my spirituality has needed for some time to grow into something more than my own personal fire insurance. Making a difference in the world, in the real lives of real people around me—that’s something different. And if the claims of Christ are to be taken seriously, minus all the stuff we’ve added onto them over the course of human history, then everything changes from this point forward.”
He concludes, “Instead of being paralyzed with fear and worry over where I might be losing faith, I’m feeling energized this morning to hold onto the faithfulness of God to keep me in Him.”
Wow. Brian’s book is having that kind of impact on people around the Southeast and beyond, and the “Everything Must Change” tour will have a similar impact on many more lives. Don’t miss it! Be a part of it here in Charlotte at Area 15, February 1-2, 2008. Register online now, and remember: you can get a $20 off discount code just by joining the Charlotte Emergent Village cohort group.

This song is “Let Your Kingdom Come,” one of the most powerful songs (IMHO) on the new Songs for a Revolution of Hope CD, which is a companion to Brian McLaren’s new book Everything Must Change.
Tracy Howe of Restoration Village is the singer, and she’ll be with Brian here in Charlotte, February 1-2, so you know the music is going to be good! Don’t miss this — register online now
Here’s a gift for you this Christmas season: Download Tracy’s beautiful rendition of “What Child Is This”
UPDATE 12/21/2007: Another Christmas gift from Brian and Deep Shift: Download David Wilcox’s rendition of “Atheist”
